After reading the reviews, I anticipated these jeans fitting true to size or maybe a bit smaller. I'm 5'4", so I was in between ordering the regular inseam or a shorter one. My waist measures to be about 25.5 inches, so I ordered a 25 and a 26 with standard inseams. The 26 was too large. The 25 is a...lso a little big at the waist. The jeans fall at my lower ankle, making them more of a full-length style. I typically only purchase 100% cotton denim, so I think the stretch contributes to the looser feeling. I should have kept that in mind when ordering and sized down for the snug fit I prefer. Some reviews mentioned that these are more of a mid rise fit, which wasn't the case for me. They fit me at a perfect high rise, hitting my natural waistline. I do have a shorter torso though.
I will keep these jeans, since they do look great and a little tailoring should make them fit nicely. In the future, I would probably size down to a 24, maybe even a 24 petite if I want the ankle length style.
If you can, try these on in store before buying.

I absolutely love the Green
I gave it a low rating because I bought one pair in sage washed them and they came out with bleach marks. I thought I must have cleaned something that had bleach in it and I did it so I ordered a second pair because I really like the color and fit and made sure to not get anything on them but I wash...ed the second pair and the second pair has bleach spots. I use mild detergent (earth breeze detergent sheets which I recommend because no big plastic bottles) i was actually going to try a third pair but they are now out of my size in sage. I was looking at the reviews to see if anyone else had the same problems. I haven't finished looking at all reviews after I read a similar review. Has anyone else had this problem with the green sage.

Admittedly, I've strayed for a few years and tried jeans from other companies. But I just can't do it anymore, I was paying double for a fraction of the quality Gap has.
So I came back and immediately fell in love with these jeans. I love Gap's cropped jeans because they fit me just right (I'm really short).
Anyway, these came and as soon as I put them on I fell in love, the wash is the best shade of blue and the fit is so flattering for my hourglass figure. Gap's sizing is also perfect and so consistent across the brand and if something runs small, they conveniently disclose that in the product description.
I've returned to Gap and here I'll stay for my jeans 💙

I have been wearing these almost daily since they arrived! Comfortable, wide leg fit with just enough stretch to be comfortable while also holding shape! They aren't kidding about ankle length. I am 5'2" and they fall just below my ankle. I am glad I read other reviews and decided to buy the normal length instead of short, they would have felt too short for my preference if they were any shorter. They say not to dry them in the dryer, but after air drying once they have stretched out too much, so I think I need to dry them. I guess it's possible I could have sized down, but they fit perfectly when I first put them on! Anyway, I am happy with this purchase and will continue to wear multiple times a week.
