After reading the reviews, I anticipated these jeans fitting true to size or maybe a bit smaller. I'm 5'4", so I was in between ordering the regular inseam or a shorter one. My waist measures to be about 25.5 inches, so I ordered a 25 and a 26 with standard inseams. The 26 was too large. The 25 is a...lso a little big at the waist. The jeans fall at my lower ankle, making them more of a full-length style. I typically only purchase 100% cotton denim, so I think the stretch contributes to the looser feeling. I should have kept that in mind when ordering and sized down for the snug fit I prefer. Some reviews mentioned that these are more of a mid rise fit, which wasn't the case for me. They fit me at a perfect high rise, hitting my natural waistline. I do have a shorter torso though. I will keep these jeans, since they do look great and a little tailoring should make them fit nicely. In the future, I would probably size down to a 24, maybe even a 24 petite if I want the ankle length style. If you can, try these on in store before buying.
I gave it a low rating because I bought one pair in sage washed them and they came out with bleach marks. I thought I must have cleaned something that had bleach in it and I did it so I ordered a second pair because I really like the color and fit and made sure to not get anything on them but I wash...ed the second pair and the second pair has bleach spots. I use mild detergent (earth breeze detergent sheets which I recommend because no big plastic bottles) i was actually going to try a third pair but they are now out of my size in sage. I was looking at the reviews to see if anyone else had the same problems. I haven't finished looking at all reviews after I read a similar review. Has anyone else had this problem with the green sage.

The high rise stride is my favorite wide leg jean. I have many different colors of these jeans in varying length. I am 5'3" so the petite work great but I also can wear the short. There is just the right amount of stretch to the fabric which makes them very comfortable to wear. Highly recommend.

I always get compliments when I wear these jeans! I have the off-white/cream, and it is almost a butter color. The stitching is contrastingly rust, and the pockets are great for looking casual when you are talking with people. I have a larger-than usual size and wear them low slung so that they are baggy. I don't look huge in them either! I belt them so that they don't fall off. They are stretchy enough to be comfortable. I wear with boots or flats depending upon the weather and my outfit. These are really great pants somehow. Some of my favorites.

5'3" 130 lbs and I ordered the "new medium" in 26 regular for ankle length and black in 27 long for a 30" inseam. Based on reviews, I originally ordered the "new medium" in 27 short and it was too big and too short. There is some good stretch and a bit of flaring on the bottom.
