I am 45 years old and when I wore these jeans to breakfast this morning my teenager told me that I looked cool, which is praise of the highest order. The fit is baggy and on trend, pools nicely over the sneakers. I possibly could have sized down but that would give the butt a little more wedgie than... I prefer. The string tie is a fun detail and helps keep the pants up since it is a baggy fit. Subtracting one star because the inner white of the front pockets seems to want to push out (despite the fit being oversized, not too small) and the drawstring comes untied unless double-knotted, which makes it sort of bulky under clothing. These are minor issues however, the jeans are very comfy and fun.
I bought these these and thought they were alright and kept them because they were cheap. I then tried on the original style that these are a copy of from a small store in Manhattan. World of a difference! The color is exactly the same and the closure is similar but the fit on the original is a game... changer. I decided to buy the real version at full price and they threw in a free tote. I don't know why Gap attempt to make a cheaper version of these. Bad on you Gap!

Easy to wear casual retro jeans. The waist is not as forgiving as I expected with the draw string and the button hole had to be opened up more to accommodate the metal button. I can tell these jeans will shrink when washed so be careful and follow directions on label. Overall, they are an updated casual look without being too cute for mature women.

Thèse are my favorite spring / summer jeans! I purchased a pair last year and 'lived' in them w/ t-shirts and summer tops. They are a nice weight - not heavy. They are great w/ sandals, flip flops and sneakers. I am glad that I could get another pair and the sale price made this an immediate purchase.
