It's a simple and basic design with a more narrow width, ideal for dress slacks rather than jeans. Quality seems good. I have a size 32" waist, and normally buy 34" belts from Gap. However, this belt was one size too small and I could just barely engage the last hole. I returned it to my local Gap a...nd exchanged it for size 36" and it fit perfectly. So nice simple belt, but buy one size up than normal.
I ordered this cognac belt twice, and both times the color, in person, looked much more like the belt that is labeled "brown". Cognac should be a caramel or copper colored lighter brown or tan color. The belt I received, twice, was just medium brown. Not anything like any of the other cognac leather... items I own. I ordered it a second time thinking they had a made a mistake sending me the wrong color, but I just received the second belt and the package does say "cognac" but the belt was a medium brown again with no caramel or copper .tones. It's disappointing that I will have to return this and I can't wear it to coordinate with most of my cognac leather shoes, boots, and purses.

I have ordered and worn black leather Gap belts for years. Ordered this one online and extremely disappointed. Definitely not the width advertised and materially feels more plastic than leather.
