These are proper skinny jeans with a lot of stretch and are very soft. My toddler is very skinny and most skinny jeans don't look skinny on him. These are perfect for him. I will say if your toddler has thicker legs they will probably be pretty tight.
Be careful with these. I've received two pair that seem to have a defect in the hook-bar closure. I initially purchased a size 3, the whole bar came out after wearing/washing a few times. I couldn't put it back in or I ordered a size 4. My son just recently wore the size 4 for the first time and it ...looks like the bar of that pair will eventually come out.
