This black dress should've been released last year
This same dress came out last year but in a faded blue and acid-wash grey and I bought 3(!) of each colour - I got them on sale - thinking Gap wouldn't release it ever again and I was going to dye them black, but I was wrong. Black should always be available in every style because there's definitely... an audience for it. So I got it now and it fits much smaller this year than last year. I tried medium tall and large tall, but I'm going to keep the large tall because my weight fluctuates and I the looser fit is good for concealing my lower belly. I'm 5'2" - 118# - 32A - 25" waist - 38" thighs, and the large tall hits me right at the feet - which would mean the hem would get dirty faster but I think I'll just deal with it. This is pretty loose in my chest. However the medium tall fits me like a glove, is just above my ankle, but I don't like how I can see my lower belly because it's fitted around my tummy - which measures 30" around my belly button. I like the thick fabric because I live in Toronto and I normally feel cold. I love that the black is pure black.

Body con- too tight!
The striped picture looks loose on the model, however, it is very slim and tight. The material is ripped and somewhat thick – might be too hot for the summer.
I really like this midi dress, though unlike other reviewers I actually find the material a bit too thick/heavy for a ribbed dress. Still a nice classic that I will keep/wear, but I have other midi dresses with thinner fabrics that I prefer. For reference I'm 5 ft. 3 / 128 pounds and purchased and Extra Small (Regular). A Small (Regular) probably would have been fine too #sweepstakes

Came in so beautifully! I am 5'2 and a size US4 and got a S in Azul; it fits perfectly. Unfortunately I got a tiny concealer stain on it before throwing it in the wash and took out some colour while trying to clean it with Shout so soaking it in vinegar before washing could be a good idea. Other an amazing summer dress.
