I would say this runs on the smaller and shorter side. Purchased petite medium and was a bit too short and small for me, went to a medium and fits better, still a bit tighter than I would like, thought it would've been less body skimming. But overall like and will be keeping. I am 5'3" for reference... and usually purchase petite dresses from Gap.
I wear 4/27 pants in Gap and am almost always a small for tops. I ordered this in a Medium Tall because I wanted it longer and looser to layer. It is SMALL!- like tight on the shoulders and on my rear. Yikes - I would need a LARGE to have it hang loosely. I am 5'7" and the waist seam on the tall hit... 1" below my belly button.
