These are by far the softest denim shorts I've ever worn! While I realize these are meant to be a "relaxed fit", they do run very large. I had to size down 2 sizes just for them to stay on my hips, and I still have ample room in the waist and thighs (athletic legs).
My hips are 37 inches and I usually wear a size 4 or 6 from the Gap depending on how the legs fit, since I have muscular legs. I ordered a 4 in these and they are ENORMOUS - I'm not sure going down one size is even enough. What's far more frustrating is that no local stores are carrying shorts yet a...

These are the most comfortable jean shorts I've ever worn. I highly recommend these. I'm 4'11" and ordered the petite in size 2. They hit about mid thigh for me, which is my preferred length for shorts.

I am 5'1" and have a 27 inch waist. I ordered a 26P and the waist is still too loose. I'm tired of vanity sizing, according to the size guide the 26 should 100% fit me and it does not.
