I have a pair of Bermuda shorts in size 26 and they're too loose, full jeans in size 25 and they fit perfectly so I ordered these shorts in a 25….way too small. Likely need to go up to a 27. I wish Gap could get their sizes consistent, especially since our store closed and I'm forced to shop online!...

I bought my normal size 6 but wish I had bought the 4. Initially they felt ok when I put them on but as the day went along they got all stretched out and I needed a belt to hold them in place. Tried to shrink them in the dryer but that didn't work either. Won't be buying this style again.

I like the fit of the Girlfriend shorts. I wanted something that wasn't tight fitting and this style has a much looser fit in the waist and hips compared to the Cheeky Straight jeans that I own. I wear a 26 in the jeans and bought a 26 in the shorts. The Mid Rise fits well since I'm 5'1". I also want to wear the shorts with the hem rolled down. Unfortunately after washing (cold water, gentle cycle), the hem of the leg opening is now rippled and doesn't hang straight or flat. It makes the legs look a little funny as some parts stick out. I think it is due to the denim being lighter in weight and having stretch. I purchased the Rinsed Dark Wash. Perhaps the Medium Indigo with the frayed hem would sit better when rolled down. (26.5" waist, 35" hips)

Love these shorts! True to size - don't size down (like boyfriend style). For reference- I'm 5'8 and 135 lbs. Perfect length with roll up. Great material and weight of fabric, and denim wash - not too dark or too light. Classy and casual.
