Wanted to super love this, but just ok

Size XXS for reference (5'0", 52 kg, 34C bust). I was hesitant to order this dress because of mixed reviews, but I'm glad I did. On my body, the XXS fits well and I don't experience the underarm bulging that others mentioned. The bodice sits nicely, and the dress is comfortable with no chafing at the armpits. The length hits just above my ankles, which I personally like, and the eyelet fabric feels structured but not uncomfortable. Overall, it's a very pretty summer dress, especially for the price. Fit may depend a lot on body proportions, but for me it worked well.

This dress is so big on the top part side- like giant wings that pop out in the sides - like it's not even finished! I always shop Gap, but whoever made this dress should not be a seamstress. I can't believe it can't be returned or exchanged. I could sew a dress better than this. It's really too bad for Gap customers because we want to buy products from you, but now we can't because of this return policy. Gap should take this dress off the rack and not sell it. Won't be shopping at Gap online anymore because now you don't know what you'll get and then can't exchange it. Sad.

This dress looks so cute on the model but it is seriously a very strange fitting dress. And it's final sale so cannot be returned (and now I understand why!). For reference, I am 34DD and this dress (medium) fits loose on top and armpits. If I had purchased small, the waist would have been too tight. The bottom skirt part is also bulky. I'm usually a size 6 (128lbs - 134 lbs) but this dress (from top to bottom) makes me look size 8-10. The length on me at 5'2" is the only thing that is working - I wanted a maxi length and the dress is down to my ankle. I looked to see if I could alter the dress at the armpits but there is no way. I'll have to wear a nude color tank/t-shirt, otherwise my bra will show. I was so excited to order this dress; but it is truly a disappointment. Gap needs to do better with providing accurate product measurements. Lately, it's been a crap shoot to order items online from Gap/BR.

With a cardigan it looks modest and without it good for summer weather!

I figured since my daughter needed to size up from the one we bought in summer, size S would work. Unfortunately, the size S is huge compared to the XS, and we are stuck with two dresses that don't work (black and white). BUMMER.
