These are relaxed but not baggy and more polished than tie waist or elasticized linen pants. There is no stretch so I like the amount of ease. The rayon/viscose adds a nice drape and reduces wrinkling slightly but is not soft on the inside so may bother those with sensitive skin. I got these to wear... to work so I iron them. Use an ironing cloth if you're going to iron. The leg is a wider straight leg which is perfect for me because I tend to swim in an actual wide leg. I'm 5'2" hourglass with a 26" waist and went with my usual size 2. The fit is great on me, with no waist gap. Good if you're curvy. I can see how straighter figures would find the waist too small, or the pants too wide if the waist fits. The Regular length has 25" inseam but with the loose fit, hits at my ankle like my 26" inseam jeans. The models are most likely wearing Tall length. You can see in pictures of the lighter pants how see through they are, and if you really like them, my advice is to wear nude shapewear under.
I ordered a size 2 petite pair of the gingham pants and while I think they're super cute and have a nice shape overall, the waist measurement is massive (it was 29 inches with a measuring tape - definitely not what you'd expect for a size 2). I like that the pants don't use elastic in the waist beca...use I feel like they look more put-together that way. The pockets don't show through and the fabric isn't see-through. The overall construction felt pretty good quality, so they don't look or feel like cheap pants, I just wish that the pants fit properly throughout. And obviously you can't cinch them in with a belt since there aren't any belt loops. Almost everything I've ordered from the Gap has run really large in the past so I'm not surprised, but I wish they would size things more realistically!

I love the color, they run a tad small, I sized up for a baggy fit, the long length is great (I'm 5'9) I have a short torso so unfortunately I had to return them. The crotch hit at mid thigh putting the waist of the pants lower. I did re-order the same pants in low rise. Fabric is nice, thick enough, not scratchy and I'm sure once washed they'll be even better.

I'm petite with a curvy build and I gotta say these pants had a really awkward fit to them. The bunched in the front by the pockets which is extremely unflattering. Other than that, the pants fit so they must've been my size, but just weirdly constructed.

these are very scratchy, almost considered returning for this reason alone but decided to keep. I'm 5'9, 150 lbs, and got the 6R since linen usually runs small (I'm typically a 4 in Gap denim). they fit perfectly around the waist and hit about 1.5 inches above my ankle.

My new favourite work pants, I'm about 5' and it falls ankle length perfectly. It's slightly itchy inside that's why it's not a perfect 5 but I can get past it and it's stretchy and soft outside.
