The elastic waist is a great option for girls that don't like the button and zipper of traditional jeans. My daughter is 10 y/o and slim and tall and I ordered the 14 Slim, and the waist and length of the jeans fitted her just right. I can't say how it goes with the Regular fit. So you must go up...
