The elastic waist is a great option for girls that don't like the button and zipper of traditional jeans. My daughter is 10 y/o and slim and tall and I ordered the 14 Slim, and the waist and length of the jeans fitted her just right. I can't say how it goes with the Regular fit. So you must go up...

Finding jeggings for my daughter's shape is near impossible. These fit her perfectly. She has a bubble butt and these stay up without either being too tight and constricting in the legs or having a bunch of extra material on the back of her thigh.
