I really like this style, and now have a handful of these pants. I spotted the lavender corduroy pair in a store while making a return back in February. I haven't had much luck with Gap pants over the years, but decided to try them on because I liked the color. I ended up buying them and then ordere...d a few more corduroy pairs and a pair in dark blue denim. I wanted a pair in lighter denim for the summer, but they all had raw hems, which I didn't want.
I'm 5'3" with longer legs and a short torso, and sometimes have to buy short length jeans, but I wear this style in a regular size 29/8 and they hit right at the top of my ankle bone. I'm not a fan of where this style falls on the models, and think the petite inseam would make me look shorter. I just took my measurements - at the moment I'm about 130 pounds, 27" waist, 39" hips.
I often deal with the dreaded rear waist gap in pants, but it's not too bad with this style. I pretty much lived in the Old Navy "curvy straight" and "curvy bootcut" jeans until they were discontinued last year - their new styles just don't fit the same. I was wearing those in an 8 short. The black pairs I have are now gray, so I'm happy to have found another black denim jean I like. I don't wear leggings or jeggings, so this style is a bit tighter than I'm used to wearing, and the waist a bit higher, but I like them. The waist really kinda sucks everything in, and that's okay.

Unfinished Hem, Size "Long" Length is Inaccuratel
I'm 5'9" with a 33.5" inseam (31" inseam at the ankle bone), 27" waist and 37.5" hips. I ordered a 27 Long, which should have a 29.5" inseam according to the product description.
I, too, fell victim to not noticing the hems on these jeansare unfinished. I should have read the reviews :/
As far as... the waist, these were true to size. I have cuvier legs so these were fitted through the hips and calves, but there's enough stretch in the denim that they don't look or feel too tight.
The issue is the length. The pair I received are marked as 27 Long (what I ordered) but the inseam measures at 28.75". Now three-quarters of an inch doesn't seem that bad, but combined with the shape of my legs, these hike up to almost 3 inches above my ankle (and even more when sitting) and they just look silly.
Considering the hems are unfinished and will fray in the wash (shortening them even more), I cannot come up with any reason to keep these jeans. Disappointing, because I otherwise liked the fit, though I don't know if I'm going to try going through the trouble of exchanging for a size tall.
Fit is great, size is always right, and quality is great.

I've always wore skinny and jegging jeans so I thought I would try a new style that's not baggy and I just love these jeans.. they are soft and comfy, stretchy and not baggy. But more stylish. I find the waste is a little tight but it did stretch out. Also love all of the washes. I bought 4 different colors.

I love these jeans in the picture with the double seam. I've ordered twice now and received a new version that don't have the signature double seam. They aren't 'vintage' looking. They just look like regular plain jeans, and have a totally different fit. I'm super disappointed because the version pictured are my favorite jeans and I'd love to get more. Please go back to the old style in the pic! Thanks :)

The wash is not as pictured. The wash is lighter. I love the length and style. I look awful in baggy jeans. These are cigarette jeans.

The jeans I received did not have the double seam on the outside of the leg, like you see in the photo. I'm not sure if I was sent the wrong jeans, or if they have the wrong photo up. I have the double seam vintage slim jeans from last year and wanted to replace them, but I ended up returning these since they are not the same.

These jeans fit like a glove. I did go up a size though as they have plenty of stretch and my regular size looked more like skinny jeans than slim, and I wanted some breathing room around my calves.
