My waist measurement is 35 and my hips are 45. That sits between a 14 and 16. I am 5'6" with a shorter inseam of 29". I purchased the 14 petite and they fit perfect. If I wore heels they might be too short, but I don't. They are well made and the fabric is lovely. They wash well with no apparent shrinkage. Very flattering on this body.
