I'm always on the hunt for comfy cotton thongs. It's actually pretty difficult to find any. I had high hopes for these and honestly I'm sure the quality was better years ago. For what they are, they're decent basics, but could certainly be better. They do run fairly snug, without a whole lot of stretch (somewhat understandable due to fabric composition), and they aren't the softest. But there are trade-offs with cotton; not a great chance they'll be buttery smooth like a lot of synthetic materials are made to be (like the breathe thongs). The biggest issue—the potential deal-breaker—is that the elastic edges are of that sort of "free-floating" style AND they're stiff-feeling. They curl and bunch easily and wind up essentially doing an accordion fold in the back, giving a total wedgie feel. A rough wedgie. That looks quite silly, especially in white. I'll keep giving them a shot, but I've got to admit I'm a bit disappointed.
