I have purchased these as a staple basic tank for maybe 4 years now as the style is very well designed and truly fits better than many other options out there. Just in case anyone purchased previous years like I did, this batch is not quite as nice. They're not bad by any means but they are not as... soft, and they are definitely smaller in how they fit as I still have lightly used Larges from previous years to compare directly. (They are also small compared to the 2026 rib knit tank as well - those larges are fitting me fine still). Always sad to see companies have a drop in quality. I'm still keeping most of what I got as the price was so good that I can afford to not worry about just wearing them for everyday stuff, and so many other tanks are SO expensive these days. But I did return a few to switch out for the rib knit style instead because it's just more flattering. (The rib knit style is also not as soft as the old modern tanks were, but they're flattering, not as tight, and I like the garment dyed look and colors are good)
I have been wearing this tank top since 2011. I first purchsed one when I was pregnant and needed a thank top that was a little longer. I loved it and continued to purchase them after my pregnancy. I wore them to sleep, around the house, and for casual errands. It was the perfect fit and was offered... in so many fun colors throughout the years (although they recently stopped making them in seasonal colors, which was such a bummer). It was a staple in my wardrobe for over 13 years!!! I recently purchased a few to replace my old ones and was so disappointed by the new design. The seem along the neck and underarm is thicker, making the neckline higher and the armpits smaller. The seam is also stiffer, so it's tighter all around. The new design is too uncomfortable for me, so I won't be purchasing them anymore. GAP, please, when you make have a design that works AND SELLS WELL, don't change it! I'm now on the hunt for a replacement closet staple :(

I bought these tanks several years ago, and they are my favorite. I was looking to replace them, and they are now super low quality. Very thin and fit much smaller than before.

The modern tank used to be a staple for me years ago. Now the tank is super thin, scratchy feeling and SO NOT BUTTERY SOFT like they claim! It clings to your body and feels like a cheap plastic-like fabric. Soooo not soft!

Gap has changed the stitching around the neck and arms, and the new style rolls and chafes. You can see the original style still in tye photos (single row stitches verusu double row) Pease bring back the original stitching

Great if you can get at a discount. Overall I think it's a solid top to have in your closet but I found the neckline to be a little wider than I expected. Other than that, it fits fine!

I really like this tank top. I got the tall size because I am tall so it's a little bit longer which is really nice. Very nice fabric. Perfect fit.

The color choices for tall are extremely frustrating. 1) there are fewer options than the regular length. 2) they are ONLY neutrals. 3) the neutrals are only on the far end of the spectrum of light and dark - extremely light or extremely dark - nothing in between. I know I'm not the only one who does not look amazing in pale colors or extremely dark, especially in a tank top (pale skin). PLEASE expand your color selection for talls. We deserve COLOR. It's summer after all. Otherwise it is a nice basic tank, nice fabric and style, and mostly covers my bra which I appreciate. Only giving 3 stars because of the poor color selection.

This is my first Modern tank (I've purchased several shot and long sleeves in this style and LOVE them.) Same great fabric, same longer length...this tank is perfect for layering if your size down or on it's own in your normal size. I'm definitely going to grab a few more. #sweepstakes

don't purchase these and expect the wonderful modern tanks that used to arrive. These are thin, cut weird, see-through, cheap feeling and nowhere near the fabric they were. I have been purchasing these for years and I'm super disappointed.
