I have purchased these as a staple basic tank for maybe 4 years now as the style is very well designed and truly fits better than many other options out there. Just in case anyone purchased previous years like I did, this batch is not quite as nice. They're not bad by any means but they are not as... soft, and they are definitely smaller in how they fit as I still have lightly used Larges from previous years to compare directly. (They are also small compared to the 2026 rib knit tank as well - those larges are fitting me fine still). Always sad to see companies have a drop in quality. I'm still keeping most of what I got as the price was so good that I can afford to not worry about just wearing them for everyday stuff, and so many other tanks are SO expensive these days. But I did return a few to switch out for the rib knit style instead because it's just more flattering. (The rib knit style is also not as soft as the old modern tanks were, but they're flattering, not as tight, and I like the garment dyed look and colors are good)
I have been wearing this tank top since 2011. I first purchsed one when I was pregnant and needed a thank top that was a little longer. I loved it and continued to purchase them after my pregnancy. I wore them to sleep, around the house, and for casual errands. It was the perfect fit and was offered... in so many fun colors throughout the years (although they recently stopped making them in seasonal colors, which was such a bummer). It was a staple in my wardrobe for over 13 years!!! I recently purchased a few to replace my old ones and was so disappointed by the new design. The seem along the neck and underarm is thicker, making the neckline higher and the armpits smaller. The seam is also stiffer, so it's tighter all around. The new design is too uncomfortable for me, so I won't be purchasing them anymore. GAP, please, when you make have a design that works AND SELLS WELL, don't change it! I'm now on the hunt for a replacement closet staple :(

I bought this just because I don't have a basic tank top and honestly this is a great basic to have. I can layer it under stuff or wear it alone. It also fits perfectly which was surprisingly since not every tank top hugs my body the way this one does. I got it in an xs and im 5'5 115lbs for reference.

These are GARBAGE…NOTHING like the Modern Tanks I ordered six months ago - those were a great quality weight cotton, with wide, finished seams/edges. Now they are much thinner with tacky, thin piping for the edges. Design is changed for the worse…the cut is odd and it gaps in the back between the shoulders. You taken a solid staple and turned it into tacky garbage. Zero stars if I could….

I should have realized that anytime I buy ribbed shirts to size up. The small fits, however the ribbed fabric fits snuggly against the body. If you like that, this is for you. I need the tank to wear under shear shirts. This works, but it's like having on a second bra and the thickness of the tank was too much on a hot day. I'll save this to wear in the winter when I need layers.
