These long-sleeve (L/S) shirts are thick, non-see-through, and wash well. I purchased this top in the following colors: Light Heather Grey (like as shown in the picture), Black, Fresh White (pills after a few washes and there's discoloration, but I find that with most things that are white), and Hea...ther Beige (not at all the same color as shown in the picture - it's more like when the (brown) sand on the beach gets soaked) - it's a pretty color, but much darker and not so heathered as pictured here. I find that these tops fit a little larger, so if you like these to fit true-to-size, with little to extra fabric, I recommend going one size down. If you like a little bit of extra fabric, go with your true size.
I used to buy these all the time when the REAL GAP sold them. They were soft and made of great cotton. They were thick and flattering on and kept their shape and color . Everything here has been getting progressively worse for a long time. This top fades after first wash and shrinks even in cold was...h, gentle cycle, line dry. The ones I got last week fit like a huge box and lost their shape fast and all the stitching at hem came apart on both of them. I had threads hanging off. I kept them because they are okay to wear as pajama top but I wouldn't wear them in public. Breaks my heart because you were the only place that used to have quality clothes for talls. Banana Republic is better quality but no tall sweaters and everything is so over priced. I used to spend thousands here and had lovely clothes to wear in my office. No more.

I was quite surprised to see how long this shirt is when I pulled it out of the bag. Granted I'm short, but this would be extra long on anyone. The feel of the fabric and the fit of the rest of the shirt is good but the extra length is a deal breaker. Will be returning it.

I hate the hassle of finding my size each year or two when I purchase replacement shirts or new colors. I purchased the size I purchased last year, Medium Tall and it was down to my thighs. Last year I purchased a regular medium and it barely hit my hips. I have three sizes of this shirt because everything changes from year to year. I wear a Small Tall, Medium Tall, and this time had to purchase a Large Regular. Purchasing and returning each year is such a hassle and my nearest Gap is over an hour away so going there is not an option.

I love this shirt! The quality is amazing and it's super soft and breathable. It's true to size and for me the shirt is a bit longer which makes it easy to tuck into pants when needed.

I love how soft and light the fabric feels on my skin. It's thick enough that it is not see through but thin enough to use as another layer. The material is nice an sturdy compared to other fabrics (mainly for women's shirts) that feel thin and are easy to rip.
