I have been buying the Skims ribbed slip dress for about three years now and have probably bought at least 20 of them. I adore them. They are sexy, and yet super comfortable. And versatile, from casual to dress up. But I bought this dress thinking it was going to be thin and more a nightgown and... got it today and it is substantial material (more so than Skims) and exactly that style but even better because of the heavier fabric and the length is not as long. I am 215lbs and bought the XXL, it is form fitting but I wear kimonos over my dresses so it will work on my 74yr old body!!!!! I just went back and bought the black and it is 1/3 the price right now of what I pay for the other brand. This is a fantastic dress and I just hope they make some other colors down the road because I would start buying Gap from this point on. You could wear this as a nightgown but it is too darn cute to hide it under your sheets. MAJOR WINNER
Since I loved the fabric quality and this pretty blue color, I really tried this dress work for me. I'm 5'4", 120 lbs, size S or XS in GAP and other brands. Initially ordered this dress in size-up, in sz M (based on reviews). It was extremely form-fitting, uncomfortable. Based on my impression of ho...w size M fits me, I ordered this dress in size L and XL. None of it worked! Size L still fits very tight (you look like sausage) and it's very long too. The length for me should be about 12" shorter, so it doesn't hit the floor level. Size XL fits ok around lower body and midsection while it hangs loose under armpits. Actually, this dress style always works for my shapely body type. Unfortunately, these dresses in all three sizes I ordered have to be returned. In my photo I wear size XL.

Fabric is very good, length is fabulous but the fit runs very small. For context I'm 5'7" 130. I usually wear a medium and the large is hugging every curve a little too much. If you size up X 2 for a looser fit you will be extremely happy. Just buy it girl :-)

I also have this dress in black. It's a great dress for hanging around the house or for wearing under a sweater or jean jacket to run around doing errands. I'm 5'7" and I ordered a TALL for a bit more length. I really like the adjustable straps. Launders very easily. Packs perfectly for travelling. Love it!
