I have been buying the Skims ribbed slip dress for about three years now and have probably bought at least 20 of them. I adore them. They are sexy, and yet super comfortable. And versatile, from casual to dress up. But I bought this dress thinking it was going to be thin and more a nightgown and... got it today and it is substantial material (more so than Skims) and exactly that style but even better because of the heavier fabric and the length is not as long. I am 215lbs and bought the XXL, it is form fitting but I wear kimonos over my dresses so it will work on my 74yr old body!!!!! I just went back and bought the black and it is 1/3 the price right now of what I pay for the other brand. This is a fantastic dress and I just hope they make some other colors down the road because I would start buying Gap from this point on. You could wear this as a nightgown but it is too darn cute to hide it under your sheets. MAJOR WINNER
Since I loved the fabric quality and this pretty blue color, I really tried this dress work for me. I'm 5'4", 120 lbs, size S or XS in GAP and other brands. Initially ordered this dress in size-up, in sz M (based on reviews). It was extremely form-fitting, uncomfortable. Based on my impression of ho...w size M fits me, I ordered this dress in size L and XL. None of it worked! Size L still fits very tight (you look like sausage) and it's very long too. The length for me should be about 12" shorter, so it doesn't hit the floor level. Size XL fits ok around lower body and midsection while it hangs loose under armpits. Actually, this dress style always works for my shapely body type. Unfortunately, these dresses in all three sizes I ordered have to be returned. In my photo I wear size XL.

gapcanada.ca/For context, I'm 5'0, 90 lbs and xxs-xs at most stores. Gap xxs usually is a bit big for me but for this dress, it fits snug in a good way. Material is thick so no see through and makes my figure look amazing. I bought the regular length and it hits slightly above the ground so I can get away with flats. Highly recommend!

I ordered this in black in both a size small and medium based on reviews (size chart puts me at a size small). I like this piece enough to keep both, as the fit difference between them is minimal. I am 5'6", about 123 lbs., for reference. Love the softness from the modal, and the fit is gorgeous and flattering. Maybe a bit clingy around my lower abdomen, but I don't plan on wearing this out of the house (although you easily could), so I don't mind.

I absolutely love this dress. I ordered a medium which is my usual size at Gap and it's very form fitting. I love how it flares out a bit at the bottom, it makes it a bit different than other black body con dresses. I plan to wear it out with heels, not as pjs! #sweepstakes

gapcanada.ca/I sized up based on other reviews (usually a medium, ordered a large), but I probably could've stuck with my regular size. The fit is stretchy so I'd say it runs true to size. It's flattering and looks nice on, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the fabric, it feels a little thin and slightly see-through, especially for the regular price. I'm debating whether to keep it or return it.
