    As several other purchasers have noted, the metal buttons on this jacket are extremely difficult to unbutton, especially when first attempting to do so. I took a pair of blunt scissors and rotated the blades around, to soften the fabric without cutting it. Here are some actual garment measurements for size L: chest width from underarm seams 18", length from underarm seam to hem 12", length from neck to hem 22", length of sleeve from underarm seam to wrist 26". This will eventually be a gift for a 12-year-old. Before that, I plan to wash the black rinse garment in water with vinegar to prevent the color from running, and also heed the label instructions, to fasten all the buttons before washing. #sweepstakes

    This jacket was nice; however my child could not wear it due to it having a STRONG ODOR out of the packaging bag. The smell of this jacket smelled like bad dye and gave my son a headache. Which landed him in the emergency room overnight. Even after washing this jacket two times, it still had a strong odor of dye or something. I ended up throwing it away in the garbage in my garage. My son was sad, because he was happy to pick out his own school clothes, yet was unable to wear the jacket due to the strong odor straight out if the packaging!!!
