I ordered the Modern Khaki in Straight Fit in Palomino Brown, size 34x36. These pants are comfortable and nearly perfect—straight through the thigh with enough room for comfort, not so slim that I can feel the fabric skimming the circumference of my leg. And flexible! I can squat to hoist my two-yea...r-old or crouch to retrieve whatever he's hoarded behind the couch without noticeable stress on the seams. They are so great, in fact, that it's almost disappointing that the tall sizes end at the 36" inseam. Old Navy chinos are available in 38" inseams (~46.5" outer length) and they fit me perfectly after a machine wash and dry. (For reference, I'm 6'4 at 200lbs, and I'm a 34x38 in the American Tall brand and in the Levi's brand.) Since 'tis the season for holiday discounts, I can justify the expense of having my tailor squeeze out another 3/4" from the hem to reach that length, hanging to dry for the lifetime of the pants. Despite size availability, it's still a five-star review. I ordered three more pairs in other colors.
If you are looking to replace a pair of these pants purchased in 2023 or earlier, be advised that the design has pivoted toward pseudo-workwear similar to the Dickies 874s. For those seeking a silhouette closer to the original version, you may have better success looking into their "90s Loose" or "R...elaxed" fits instead. I have not tried them myself yet, but that is my best guess. While the listed fabric composition remains identical on paper, the actual fit and feel have changed drastically: - The Fit: The manufacturer has altered the cut from a relaxed, straight silhouette to a more restrictive slim-straight profile. - The Fabric: The material is now considerably rougher and stiffer. It lacks the soft, fluid texture that originally gave these pants a premium feel and allowed them to be easily dressed up. Ultimately, this redesign has sacrificed comfort in exchange for a faux-workpant texture & aesthetic

I have been using this Khakis for yrs they are the best no doubt. They are very comfortable the fabric it's stretchy enough but breathable as well. You cannot beat the price for the quality of this pants.

The feel and quality of the material has gone down sharply. This used to be the perfect pair of pants, but they are now too thin, wrinkly, and poorly sized to be dependable.

I bought these pants in 4 colors all the same size. Three of them fit good but 1 of them is huge. I made the mistake of only trying on 2 of them and assuming the other 2 were good then washing them so now I am stuck with a pair I cannot wear. Gap needs better quality control if their sizing is going to be this drastically different.
