I've bought black high-waisted jeans from Gap before and have always liked them. However, they're never *quite* as high-waisted as I would like; I have kind of a pear shape, and I want the waist of the pants to sit comfortably on top of my hips (which, unfortunately, not all do. For reference, I'm 5...'7" 150#). I saw "Sky High" and figured I'd give these a go. All in all: solid jeans. The rise is nice and high, and the wash is a dark black (I get annoyed when it's more of a dark grey). My only complaint would be - and this might change once I've washed them more - that they really attract and hold fuzz. I wore a sweater with them and I swear half of the sweater ended up on the pants. But, again, that might change. Will report back after a few washes.As far as the quality goes: the zipper seems pretty sturdy, and the quality of the denim seems good (as one should expect for the price). Bottom line: got what I expected, and I'm pleased with my purchase!
