I wear an XXL in GAP & just about every other brand, except for expensive designer brands. I bought 6 colors in 2XL, tried one on, & too big. Either GAP is getting more generous with their sizing, or I'm shrinking! I went ahead & ordered the same 6 colors + one more, & paid a higher price, bc I want...ed them the next week, didn't want the XL's to sell out, & didn't know when I would be able to get to the store to make a return or exchange. Same thing happened with a pair of joggers & a zip hoodie. I am by no means a light weight. There has definitely been a change in the grading of the garments. Now that I'm aware, I'll be ordering XL's instead of 2XL's. And why don't the stores carry size 2XL? I always found that very inconvenient, & was force to go the e-commerce route, buy, keep what worked for me, & have to go to the store to make returns. A great inconvenience. Same with Banana Republic. I don't trust making returns by mail. There is a good part of the American male population that wear size 2XL.Both GAP & BR should get with the program, & carry size 2XL in their stores.
So I'm a 5'4" 135 lb female who has been buying these men's shirt for years. I ALWAYS bought size medium and they fit perfect. I bought three of these shirts in size small so they fit better under hoodies and sweaters. You can literally fit two of me in one shirt! Not to mention how long they are- T...UNIC LENGTH. The bands on the wrist are very tight though! The sizing is wayyyy off on these. Like I said, for years, 10+ years, I've been buying this shirt in a medium so it has nothing to do with men's/women's or height. They're just not even close to a size small.Needless to say, they are going back.

I can't really comment on the quality of the Tee Shirts as they arrived after I left the state for several weeks. When I ordered these, I spoke with a customer service representative and told them when I was leaving and was told they would arrive in "plenty of time " still I went ahead and paid extra for expedited shipping. After several days and not receiving a notice of shipment, I called GAP and was told the order was going out and they were sure I'd receive it "no problem" Needless to say the shipment arrived after I left, 9 days after I ordered it and using expedited shipping.
