I have several Gap Oversized Icon Denim Jackets in Large. I found this one to run small, or at least smaller than my other jackets of similar type. I originally ordered the Large ( I am a 6'1" female with long arms and torso), which as mentioned, is my normal "Oversized" size in Gap ID. Then I notice on the sizing info on the product page, that this jacket is advertised as unisex and says that the Medium actually = the Large size. So, I also ordered the Medium as well, in order to compare. I received both jackets today. The Medium just fits in the body. Definitely not oversized on me. The sleeves are also too short, falling well above my wrist bones. I tried on the Large and although it has slightly longer sleeves and an ever-so-slightly more roomy body, I feel it is a stretch to even call the Large oversized on me. I should have gone up to the XL apparently, in order to get a true oversized fit, but it is out of stock. Additionally the jacket is more cropped than any of my other Gap Icon Denim Oversized Jackets. I would call it smack in between True to Size and Too Small-based on the description and when comparing against my other Gap Jackets of the exact same style. I have found Gap's sizing as of late on their denim jackets to be a bit inconsistent, making it difficult to order online. All this being said-this is a unique jacket. The denim feels to be a good weight and quality, the dye is outstanding-really beautiful. I love the floral detail on the buttons. I imagine I will keep the Large. Although it doesn't give me the slouchy look I was hoping for, I don't have a single other jacket that looks anything like this, and I think it will look amazing against high-waisted black pants or leggings. I realize I am very tall, so on smaller, shorter-waisted folks this jacket may be an absolutely perfect fit. I just really love a looser, slouchier, less rigid shape on me. It definitely is a stunning jacket, though!

The jacket fits very well. It's not too big or too small. It fits just right with a lot of room.
