Nice thin soft light fabric which is cool to wear in hot weather.. I got these for a trip to Barcelona and wore them at a music festival for 12 hours during 30 degree heat and they were great. The fabric is slightly stretchy even though somebody else said there's no stretch. I ordered size S and ...M after reading reviews saying they were small but this ISN'T true at all! I am a UK size 10 and the small size is fine.. I didn't try the M size but I know it would have been VERY LARGE on me and would be more suited to somebody size 12-14. I actually find the small quite baggy in the legs, thighs and bum area but I do have very slim narrow hips and a small bottom. Somebody who is more pear shaped may need to size up but if you're an apple shape like I am, a larger size would be a bad idea. I wish I had a nice big butt to fill the trousers out a bit but I don't. I am 60kgs and 5 foot 4 inches with an inside leg of 31 inches ((I think I've got long legs for my height) and the length is only just long enough for me).. Somebody taller would find these more like 3/4 length trousers. I actually really like them and they're very comfy but I am giving more detail so people know what size to order.
These pants have several features I like: they are lightweight, wrinkle free and don't seem to stretch out, semi loose fitting (not skinny yet not baggy), the mauve color is lovely, the pockets don't stick out like on so many GAP pants, and the high waist is just right (not TOO high). BUT they run v...ery short. I'm not a huge fan of the current ankle length trend to begin with, and these are more like 7/8 going on Capri length on me! I wish wish wish GAp would offer long or tall lengths in size extra small. This is my constant problem with GAP pants— the extra small size fits my waist but run way too short for my liking. Please please consider offering longer lengths for folks with narrow hips and longer legs! If you are between sizes, definitely size down. Sizing is generous. I tried a small/long but they were huge on me (although length was great!).

Nice & lightweight, I think they will come in handy in the summer and in coolish temperatures but of course not in the cold. You can tell they probably dry quickly if they get wet.
