I was reluctant to pay full price for this skirt with such mixed reviews. My size went out of stock, and I was bummed I didn't get it. It restocked! So, I got it and I'm so happy I did. I'm nearly 5'1", fluctuate from 114-118lbs, ordered a 26P. I have curves and a good amount of rear for my size. Ad...mittedly, it's a bit snug getting it over my booty, but once it's up, it fits really nicely. It's surprising flattering for a heavy demin skirt. It washes well, flatters the body and the petite is a perfect length. I marked it "true to size" in the waist since I feel like it HAD to be sized this way to hug correctly. Once it's on, the waist does fit my waist where its intended. Since, proportionally, my waist is a lot smaller than my hips. If you're shaped differently, I'd suggest a size up.
There seems to be alot of differing opinions on this one, and it needs to be tried on as much variability depending on body types. I took my normal size in jeans, 27, no need to size up or down, and at 5'5 went regular length, which was fine. The style is odd, however. Where the end of zipper seam j...ogs in the front, it results in bulky seams in unflattering appearance at the crotch from the side. The front vent is way too wide and I have long legs so it comes up high. It also looks like you are holding up a pair of wide legged jeans in front of you, with your legs showing in the center. The back panel is also too wide and even at 115 lbs, it made me look hugely wide from the back as it flares out so much. I also didn't care for the change of hem finish that occurred at the back flap. I am short waisted and would have liked if it came with lower waist. All in all, it is hard pass for me. My mom bought it and absolutely loves it. I think it just needs to be tried on to see if flattering. I think there are enough of these on the market, however, to keep looking for one that is.....

This is my first ever Maxi denim skirt, the design and color is great as well as the quality. It's a high waister skirt true to size I'm 5'1 ft. 101lbs./ 46 kg. I got the 00 petite (my usual size) and the length and fitting for me is perfect. But if you have a big behind I think this isn't for you because the design is plain straight, the material is not stretchable. Another issue is that the waist part is narrow it's a bit hard when you remove the skirt down it gets stock on my hips. I just hope that they made the zipper opening a little bit longer for easy removal. Over all for my skinny body type It fits well, my son complimented me for the first time he said It looks good on me. So I'm happy with my purchase #sweepstakes

gapcanada.ca/Why do people design clothes like this? The only body type this would fit well is someone with no rear end and straight the whole way down. I'm a 6-8 and the butt is tight, legs fit well, and waist in the back is gigantic.
