I went up one size (from a 25 to a 26) so they would fit slightly looser than the model and it worked exactly as planned. I bought these in both white and dark washes and both are amazing. I'm going back for the black pair :-)

gapcanada.ca/I so badly wanted these to work and have tried them in both high and low waist but in both cases (and multiple sizes) the backside was tight across the bum and a huge gap in the waistband. I am your average 40 year old size 6 mom of 4 body type. I don't have a big bum or a small waist… pretty average proportions in those departments. I can only see these working for you if you are quite rectangle and have a very flat backside. Even then I can't see anyone not having a gap in the back of the waistband. So unfortunate because these jeans are beautiful otherwise. I will add that I tried to pull them down to "low ride" them more but it just flattened my but out even more of that was even possible and felt like the crotch was going to rub between my legs and drive me crazy. But hey maybe I'm just not cool enough and I'm wearing them wrong 🤷🏼♀️ do we like flat bums now?
