We had to downsize from a waist size 40 to 36 to get the right fit for my husband. The 40's measured out at 43 1/2 when using a tape measure. Originally ordered 42 since he'd warn that size for a long time, but he had lost a little weight. The 42's with a tape measure showed they were actually 45...". Don't know why the sizing seems to be 3-4" off. But he is happy with the cargo shorts!
First off I purchased these at approximately 70% off reg. price, they were $19.xx CAD + tax. So if I'd paid more my review would be more critical. They're thin, I was expecting a thicker more robust material like most cargo shorts, however they're a thin cotton. They're low quality, the olive green ...ones especially so. They're long, at least 10". They're roomy. I bought the camo and olive green and I'll likely be returning both, even though I bought them at such a discounted price. I do not recommend these. Pay more and get better shorts.
