Normally I like something in between a slim and a straight leg but this was closer to a loose fit or barrel leg for me personally. The material is pretty good and a bit rough feeling but you can expect that from 100% cotton. Maybe after some washes it would soften up. It's definitely a mid-rise and ...makes your butt look good but there's a pocket of space around the seat that would bend weird as I move. Maybe a 30x30 would have fit better but then the waist wouldn't have worked.
Let me start by saying that I'm sure these jeans are fine for most, but for me, I returned them as quickly as I could. I purchased a pair of the Kaihara Stretch Selvedge Straight fits a little over a year ago, and I love them. Like, wore them literally every day. I'm wearing them now. They are v...ery near death. I have had to repair several worn spots, and recently lost one of the fly buttons. but they are so comfortable, and fit me so well, i have a weird body type, so it's a big deal when I find something that fits me well. I kept coming back to the website hoping to find that they'd brought them back in stock, but when I saw these, I figured these would have to be the replacement. let me say, these are not them. the fit is much baggier, which is fine. i'm sure most people won't have a problem with that. but because of my build, they looked cartoonishly baggy. also, and this is probably really nitpicky, but these have a zip-fly, instead of a button fly. After wearing the Kaihara's with the button fly for so long, I'm ruined for zip flys. If I wanted a zip fly, I'd just order a pair of Uniqlo's. I just felt really disappointed when I tried these on, and now I have to hope that I can source another pair of the Kaihara's secondhand. Can't win 'em all, I guess.

I'm new to the world of selvedge jeans mainly because the cost of most selvedge is out of my price range. Waited for a sale, and nabbed these at a nice price. As expected, the denim is more substantial than other jeans and are better constructed. I expect them to last and wear nicely! These jeans fit like ones I had in the 90s! I would describe them as between straight fit and relaxed fit. Waist is true to size with a little more room through the thigh than other straight fit jeans I have.

gapcanada.ca/Rigid at first as expected and took a while to get the creases to finally fall out of them(several washes). Once they did ease up and get more comfy, the colour had faded kinda unevenly. Really odd and customer service mentioned having not seen this. I still like them and will wear them but the faded black with lines like creases faded take a little bit out of it for me.

I've got a few pair of raw denim Selvedge jeans as my go to and I wanted a affordable black pair of Selvedge denim to throw on every once in a while. Found these on sale and had to grab a pair to try. The quality is fine for the price. Weight wise these are probably around ~12 ounces. I'm normally a size 32 but I got a 31 and they fit fine. The fit is probably a half size to one size larger which is typical for Selvedge jeans to fit large. Overall I would recommend them if you find these on a good sale but at regular price I would shop around first.

Great entry level pair of Selvedge jean, and a gateway to Selvedge denim. Nice relaxed fit, great for athletic builds or anyone looking for room in the trunk area. Stiff but not overly stiff. They run a bit long, but that's fine for Selvedge denim, there's a process to follow to get the fit and look you desire.

gapcanada.ca/Have been buying Gap denim forever, unfortunately there is a continuing decline in quality and design. These particular jeans have an incredibly tall rise and incredibly thin material. Maybe just concentrate on making a few good fits out of quality materials.
