My daughter loves these for school. True to size and super comfortable
I wanted these for a hot summer travel. Less soft and lightweight than I expected. I ordered up for my rapidly growing 10-year-old who is currently 56 in tall. I expected I would need to hem them. In extra large/12, the waistband elastic is 28 in before stretching! This requires a ridiculous amount ...of drawstring tightening. Haven't decided if I will pick out the seams of the entire waistband to shorten the elastic or just give up on them. For more info, the inseam is 28 in. I think it would be dragging even on a kid 2 in taller. I am 5'5 and wear a 29 in jeans and I can fit this (although it's too tight in the waist!)

Wanted these for hot summer travel. Ordered up a size for my rapidly growing 10 year old (currently 56 inches tall) expecting I'd need to hem the legs. In xl the waist elastic is 28 in unstretched! The drawstring requires ridiculous tightening. The inseam is also 28 in long. Expect it would be dragging on the floor even on the appropriate sized kid. I am 5'5" and wear size 29 in jeans. These look too tight on my hips but I can wear them! Shortening the elastic will require unpicking entire waist seam. Haven't decided if it's worth it.
