Love these ...
I wanted a pair of flared leg ... these are adorable! I usually wear a 2 in Gap ... they were too big so I got a 0 and they fit perfectly. They are quite long, but with bells that large it looks better to wear heels anyway. I am 5'4" and about 125 lbs if that helps anyone pick their size. they have a good amount of stretch so that they don't gap at the top of my butt, because despite my petite ness I have a pretty big butt. I highly recommend these ...

Great Fit, Great Rise, Cut a little big in waist (maybe that''s a good thing!)
I had to buy 3 pairs of the same ... different sizes to get this one right; and they look great! I am 5'6" and weigh 120lbs. I used to buy long ... because the inseam would be 1/2" to 1" too short; I purchased the 6 long, and they were too big, even in the waist. I thought that maybe the long ... also cut slightly larger and exchanged them for a 6 reg. length; they were too big in the waist still. I am happy to say that I found the perfect fit in size 4 reg. length. I have always been a big fan of flared ... since I discovered that they can take away some of the "voluminous" appearance of my hips by broadening the width of the leg, without taking away the snug and complimentary fit around my hips. I read many complaints about the denim, I am not missing what I never experienced -- I like the updated denim. They look very stylish and contemporary -- and thank goodness for a rise that isn't for teenage girls! This rise is perfect for me, not high and not too low. A woman should have at least 1 pair of ... compliments her derriere well, and this pair is it for me!

Solid ...
I have been having an extremely frustrating time finding new ... really liked the old stretch ... gap offered, but they are alas, no more. I decided to go back to the long and lean and I think they are super comfy and really flattering. I am a size 12/14, with big thighs, so I was super thrilled that these ... were well proportioned. They seem about as sturdy as I'd expect.... obviously they aren't Carharts, so I think they will have the typical gap jean life expectancy. I would definitely buy another pair. Oh I'm also 5'5 and got the ankle, and didn't have to get them tailored! Glorious!

What''s happened to my favorite denim brand???
For over 10 years, I have ONLY purchased Gap ... I'm a heavier set girl, and size 14R used to fit me like a glove. I tend to like wider ... leg ... used to be able to order any special edition or ... long and-leans online and they all used to fit, WITHOUT FAIL. But now, I have to go to the store to try on every jean, because they all run differently. And I've found that the only ... still like are the Long and-Leans in 16R. I have not gained any weight, the old Gap ... 14 still fit me just as the 16s do now. These are actually really cute -- It's hard to find light to-medium wash ... don't make my thighs look bigger, and these are actually faded perfectly to slim them down. Wish the sizing had stayed the way it used to be, because the same ... used to make me feel sexy now make me feel fat because I had to go up a size. It was also very discouraging to find that I was not happy with any of the other ... tried on in the store, because they have really cute ... leg styles back.

These are supposed to be ...
I really want to love these ... cut is great and the slightly flared leg opening is flattering on someone who's not so tall. The problem is THEY ARE NOT ... fabric that Gap is calling "premium denim" is paper thin and loses shape almost instantly after wearing. I have four pair of these and on two of the dark wash the knees are about to blow out (no I'm not an 8 year old boy!). On the lighter wash I also experienced the thigh rip! UGH. Simply put, these are really not ... they are pants made of horrible fabric. Real ... last YEARS!!

Please re vamp the long and lean!!!!
Was disappointed with the stretch factor of these ... hoping to stock up on ... but after buying one pair and reading all the reviews I'm gonna wait. I was at a Gap outlet and was able to snag a pair of last years jean which fits great! Also would like to see the long and lean in boot cut instead of ... leg.

Too Big!!!
These ... way too big. I wear a size 0 and even the 00 in this style was too baggy. I exchanged these for the Vintage ... Jean, size 0, and these flares are fantastic!

The Longest ... EVER :)
I just bought these ... yesterday and I LOVE them. I will have to agree with a lot of the reviews saying that they are really/too long, but I still love them. I happened to find these ... store....someone had returned a tall pair in my size. I got them for almost 75% off!! I am 6'0 tall and usually wear a 36" inseam and these seem much longer. Even with my highest heels (and I have lots of 3-4" heels), these ... almost hide my shoes. For some people, the flare might be too much, but I think it looks great. The material is light and these could even be worn to work with a nice shirt/sweater. I can't wait to wear them!

PERFECT Flare!!!!!
These ... would say more like nice pants vs. them being ... fabulous! I am 5'7 and around 150, size 14 in Gap ... usually alittle tight at first on me. Got these in 14 and they were actually alittle big! The length was about an inch too long with my highest heels. I washed them in warm water and now the fit perfect!!!!! Not too big and not too long now. I'm surprised at the amount of stretch in them, especially that it says only 1% spandex! There is a lot of nice stretch to them. The ... big, which I like. 2 thumbs up. Buying a size down isn't a bad idea but keep in mind they will shrink some.

I LOVE these ... so excited to find these "flare" ... came in petite sizes. It is so difficult to find anything other than straight or bootcut in petite sizes. If I wanted a flare I had to buy a regular 6 and wear heels. I love that I now have some flares I can wear with my flat boots! True to size, I am 5'4", 124lbs and the 6petite fit like a glove!!!

Love These ...
I love these ... so much that I am considering getting another pair or two. I bought one size down from my normal size and they fit perfectly. They have a snug, not too tight fit through the waist, hips, and thighs and then a big flare at the bottom. I am 5'9" and I like to wear tall heels so I bought the tall length and ended up having to hem them one inch. The material is a little bit lighter than other ... but I love that. And the stretch is just right. I cannot write enough good things about these ... wish Gap offered them in more colors!

In LOVE!
Oh Gap...you finally did it! I've struggled with gap ... few years, trying on a million pairs and holding out - and they've made it worth my while! I love these ... they are so on trend with the season! I'm 5'6" with shorter legs, and will warn that these are extremely long - requiring my highest of heels...but that's what I like to wear with wide leg ... anyway. They do wonderful things for your backside, and fit comfortably true to size. The description states that these are high rise, but I really find them to sit lower on the hips, like a traditional trouser jean - and very flattering in the front and back. Definitely not high waisted like some of their other flare styles. The dark wash is dressy, goes great with silky tunics tucked in for spring! I love these ... bottom flare is REALLY wide, and I feel a little silly when I look down at them. But when I look in the mirror, it's a different story - they're perfect!!

mostly pleased
I'm mostly happy with these ... had been looking for some time for a pair of dressier ... wear to work, and this pair fits that bill. The wash is a little bluer than I typically like. And the flare at the bottom is a bit extreme. However, I'm only 5 feet; the flare probably looks great on a taller person. Overall, though, they fit well, they are flattering, and they seem to be made well.

When they say flare.....
They really REALLY mean flared! I'm 5'11 with super long legs & curvy, so I thought this would be perfect for me. And it was don't get me wrong loved the style effect of the ... it's just the flare opening is rather extreme. It's super large flare wasn't really flattering on me so I took it to be altered to my taste. I had it brought in about a inch from each leg which changed the style a bit. And the tall was so long that I had 2 have that altered also, I've never had to do that in my life! Overall it's a very expensive looking pant/Jean just watch the flare opening.

Extreme Flare
Nice fabric and color but beware of the flare. These are very wide at the bottom I think they flare too much for a short girl like me. Maybe someone taller could pull it off.

They need to modify this flare for 21st Century. The idea is great, but the flare actually impedes smooth movement. A bit less fabric while keeping the flare would be excellent.

wanted to love but....
ultimately I had to return. I really loved the pants in theory and wanted some boho style flare ... wear an16/18 and got the 18 since im a little "hippy." The materail is thin, not your typical weight of ... but I liked that they were lightweight and stretchy which made them very comfy. My complaints are that the butt looked funny because of this thin material and the placement of the pockets. The pants got baggy in the butt and waist and I could have just pulled them right off without un buttoning. The other problem is the lenght/bell bottoms. I am 5'11" and the pants just hit the floor barefoot. Being so tall I don't wear heels and had I kept them and walked around outside I'm sure they would have dragged on the ground in the back. Plus the bell bottoms are so wide it was like having wings from the knee down. When I walked they would flap against each other and I was afraid I might trip in these LOL SO my hunt for ... continue. I miss the RED ESSENTIAL ... GAP!!!!!!! Bring those back please :) I don't know what is going on with these new cuts but it's not working for me or others!

Not Impressed
I returned these ... didnt listen to the reveiws and purchased these anyway because I love trouser ... bottoms were awful, made me look short and stubby. By the time I got them hemmed up and the flare opening taken in I could have bought other ... am 5'6 and 130, size 4 in Gap ... They fit just fine everywhere except the bottom flare opening and the length.
