Buying a Gift Card

We offer physical gift cards and electronic gift cards, which can be redeemed at any of our stores or online. Choose the type of gift card that's most convenient for you and your recipient.

Notes	Physical gift cards are delivered separately with free shipping. Gift Cards are not eligible on BR Home products online or in store and may not be eligible for use within certain promotions. Check the promotions details for specific limitations.

To Buy a Physical Gift Card

At the bottom of this website page, click the Gift Cards link to open the Gift Cards page, or use this link to buy a physical gift card.
On the page that opens, select the option to buy a physical gift card. You can select the dollar amount and how many gift cards you want to purchase.

Gift cards are also available in bulk, such as for a school or company event. Get more information.

If you have other items in your shopping bag, you can purchase them at the same time as a gift card. If you do, shipping charges that may appear don't apply to gift cards, which are shipped free, separately from the rest of your order.

As with all orders, you can ship to only one address. If you want to send gift cards to more than one address, you must order them separately. For more information, see the topic about shipping to more than one address on Placing Your Order.

What happens next?

The gift card is sent to your recipient, and can be redeemed online or in-store at Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, or Athleta.

Physical gift cards can be redeemed only in the United States and Canada.

To Buy an Electronic Gift Card

Our electronic gift cards, or “eGiftCards,” are purchased through our partner vendor, CashStar, which specializes in secure electronic gift cards for consumers and businesses. eGiftCards can be redeemed only in the United States and Canada.

At the bottom of this website page, click the Gift Cards link to open the Gift Cards page or use this link to buy an electronic gift card.
On the page that opens, select the option to buy an electronic gift card.

A new window opens, which shows you the purchase path on the CashStar website. You can add a recipient name and a message, select a design for the eGiftCard, add a personal photo, type in a dollar amount, and type your name (as the sender) and your recipient's email address.

What happens next?

The eGiftCard is sent to your recipient within hours of purchase or on the date you choose. Your recipient gets an email that includes a link to access the eGiftCard online, as well as instructions for redeeming it. The eGiftCard can also be printed, though it's not necessary to do so to redeem it.

After the eGiftCard has been viewed, you receive an email confirming delivery.

If you have questions or concerns, call CashStar customer support at 855-835-3753. It's helpful to have the order number handy (it's in the email you received confirming your purchase).

To Check the Balance of a Gift Card

For a Physical Gift Card:	For an Electronic Gift Card:
Do one of the following: Check your gift card balance. Click Your Account in the top right corner of the website and click the “Check GiftCard balance” link in the Account Settings section. As you check out, click the “Or check gift card balance” link in the Gift Card section of the Payments & Promotions area. Enter the 16-digit gift card number and 4-digit PIN.	Check your gift card balance. Enter the 16-digit gift card number and 4-digit PIN.

What happens next?

The balance remaining on the gift card appears immediately.

To Add Value to a Gift Card

It's easy to increase the dollar amount of a physical gift card in any of our stores. Simply take the card to any store associate and tell them the amount you want to add. You can pay for the additional value with cash or a credit or debit card.

Adding value cannot be done online, but you can buy additional gift cards and we ship them for free.

The value of electronic gift cards cannot be changed after purchase.

To Replace a Lost or Stolen Gift Card

For a Physical Gift Card:	For an Electronic Gift Card:
Contact us for information on replacing a lost or stolen gift card.	If you lost or misplaced your eGiftCard, just click the link in the original email and print it out again. If your eGiftCard was stolen, call CashStar customer support at 866-853-9918. CashStar can cancel the original eGiftCard and issue you a new one for the remaining value.
