My son is about 47in and 46 lbs. He is 4 and 1/2 years old. His size 5 was getting too tight around the waist so I was happy to see that Gap makes a size 6. These fit perfectly around the waist. The length is nice and long. I really miss the cargo style pants and I hope they bring them back, but these are a close second. "Sweepstakes"

My favorite pants for toddlers! Holds up to rough kids and multiple trips to the washing machine. They are pull on but the waist isn't tight.
