This is my second pair of GAP leggings - and I'm continually surprised by the cut, fit and quality of them. I've been a Prana and Patagonia wearer for years, and while I still love the brands' leggings, GAP is giving them a run for their money. At 5'3" and 125-128 (depending on the day), I'm muscula...r (a cyclist and runner) with a 26.5-27-inch waist and 35.5-inch hips and the petite small in these fit perfectly. They are HIGH rise, but it's generally flattering and the length hits just above my ankle, much like other brands' 7/8 leggings. Will definitely be coming back for more when I see a need.
I'm 5'2" and about 120 lbs, and I am a consistent XS in GAP and Athleta leggings. While I love the color, Essex Green, the fit is awful. There is nothing about these that makes them sculpting, which I translate to some compression. The material is thin without support - the quality is not the same a...s other leggings. As for regular vs petite, this is new. I got the regular at first, and they were far too long. While I've learned to live with this, I returned those for the petite. The length is perfect, BUT the high waist isn't high. They come up to an awkward spot and don't stay up. Regrettably, I didn't notice the issue at the waist until I had already washed them and put them on to workout. I got these on sale, thank goodness, but I still feel like I wasted money. I'm bummed! I love the color, hence the two stars.

They fit great. True to size. I gave them 4 stars because they have a bit do a shiny finish to the fabric. Only ever so slightly but I would prefer a matte finish.

These are the only leggings I purchase. They are breathable for your lady parts and very comfortable. Not see through. I have tried other brands but always come back to there!
