I bought this for my husband. He wore it on my vacation exactly like it's styled on the website. He loved it, you can dress it up or down. The fabric is linen like and the color is perfect.
These could be really nice but they run so large, it is not even worth the exchange process. I have a 34" waist, ordered a 33" and they are falling down. I measured them, button to button hole they measure 37". This makes no sense. If the sizing was linear I would try a 30 or a 29, but guessing ...like that is not worth it online. Go to the store and try them on, it will be the only way to find a good fit.
