I bought these shorts in size 16. For reference, I am an adult. I weigh around 130 and 5'3". Size 16 is equivalent to women's 0-2. These are a low rise. Not too baggy or too loose. The inseam is 3", which is perfect. They are really cute. The waist is a little tight. I could have sized up to size 18...

The inseam is 3", which is perfect. They are really cute. The waist is a little tight. I could have sized up to size 18, but my experience with old navy/gap denim is that it will stretch. I am not a fan of high waisted jeans/shorts so I thought I would take my chances with a kids size. Would highly recommend these!
