Based on a review I ordered a size up. They are too loose.

I love these shorts so much I ordered the black. I want to order the brown 1 size smaller since I sized up and I feel like I didn't really need to... but they are sold out. Not sure why so many mixed reviews. As a curvy mama I think these are awesome!

I got the brown color hoping it fits different than last year's some what. I have a couple colors from last year and never wore them just not flattering as my other shorts are. I don't know why I buy and keep stuff I never wear. I sized up from my normal size 28 to a 29 and they fit and look ok not my favorite. Love the color and length but not flattering on me as it's fitted not loose like it is on the model. I ordered these a month or more ago and I've chosen everything else to wear but these ,just not flattering can't find anything I like with them

The joy of finding these in the store was that I ended up with the right size. I wear a XS, S, 25, or 26 in GAP pants depending on the style. 26 was the perfect fit for me in these. The cut is very flattering and I love the longer length/coverage while still looking playful. (Usually denim shorts that I see with longer inseams tend to not flatter the shape of the body.) For a different, baggier look it seems the 27s would be perfect. So I would say if you're between sizes to size up and if you want the baggy look size up x 2.

I read the reviews and hoped I'd be lucky enough to be able to fit in my true to size. While these are a great length, style, and very soft, GAP definitely missed the mark on these. They are WAY too small and you'll have to size one or perhaps two sizes. Let's do a bit more quality control beforehand.

I have mentioned this many times about GAP jeans. They should have some stretch in the waistline especially for women. I am a size 6 or 8 in every other place I order or purchase jeans from. But due to the fact there is no stretch in the waistline I have to get a size 10 or 30 waist and sometimes they are even snug. I never have this issue with any other purchase or jeans. Even after loosing 15 pounds I still need to get a larger size. I do have many, many pair of GAP jeans, sweater pants, jean jackets etc.

Fit is nothing like the picture , the fit is based on the models body not how the actual shorts fit. I wear a 6 in abercrombie and i sized up to a 12 in these for an oversized fit on the thigh since im curvy and wanted the space but have a small waist. If you have larger thighs or hips this will look like you cut the legs off straight legs jeans. There is barely any air flow in these shorts. If i got my normal size 6 it would have looked like I cut the legs off skinny jeans. If you have large quads , hamstrings , or are curvy try something else…

I am usually a 29 but size 30 now postpartum (about 155 pounds) I sized up to 31 per the reviews and it fits good. Almost could have sized up to 32 for the more loose fit like the model. 31.5 prob would have been perfect if its existed lol
