They have not pilled and the inside remains fluffy/soft. They are boxy but not sloppy. I don't like tight sweatpants and nor I like them crazy oversized - these are just right. Love the wide waistband and it folds over nicely if you're into that look - which I am. Nice generous pockets. I agree with others that they could use more length. I am not that tall - just shy of 5'6" 130lbs and I ended up getting the Small - TALL size - which is unusual for me. But then again, I also like the look of sweatpants having "slouchy" length. I don't like when they hang straight and hover way over your ankle - so the TALL worked perfect for me.
