I was hesitant to order my normal size due to the reviews saying to size up. So glad that I did not size up. The waistband was not tight on me and I ordered my normal size large. Great material and so comfy!
Material was very nice but the waistband was way too tight. I'm normally a medium and had to return the medium in this style.

These were extremely tight in the waistband however, and the black in the photo is what I thought I'd receive (which is more of a washed black). I received true black. I cut the tags right away because I was excited to wear them! So MY fault. So for anyone else, I would recommend ordering a size up and try on before cutting the tags! I am bummed that I essentially wasted money but I'll give them away so someone else can enjoy them. I am usually very happy with all of GAP products though!!
These are the same material as the wide leg cotton pants- kind of a heavy tshirt material. The black is a true black, not washed. I got a large, which is what I got in the wide leg. The waist is super tight and not at all comfortable. Also, since they don't offer petite in this style (why?), they're too long for me (5'6"). The barrel is subtle, and I love the fabric. If you have a small waist, then you will probably love these. I'm just Apple-shaped so there are better options. I hope they keep this fabric. It's so nice for fall weather in warmer climates.
I'm not really sure what the low ratings are about. Yes, I agree I would not call these "heavyweight" pants. But, amazing, yes! They fit great, comfortable and stylish casual wear. I came back for the black but they are sold out.
I wanted to love these and bought them in my standard size. The waistband was too tight, unfortunately. Consider sizing up if you're thinking about buying these!
I'd say these are not heavy sweats, and perfect for traveling/running errands! Will buy another pair :), I'm usually a size L 12, bought a large and fits perfectly
These are a really nice heavier weight that still drapes nicely. I love the brown color. The waist band is fitted so I did have to size up. I'm an XS or a S and took the S in these. I'm taking off one star because they're not available in tall sizes!
I thought I was purchasing the black distressed looking pant in the photo, when it arrived it was just solid black. I bought the distressed black tee to match and now it just looks weird. I'm going to have to return unfortunately. I really love the sweats in the photo!
