Inconsistent sizing across colors

Purchased 3 of these. Black, terra brown and Plymouth rock brown. They all fit different. The black fits me best in the waist and legs. I purchased my normal size small in the blue ridge color and they fit perfectly and were so comfortable. I purchased my normal size small in the neon sugar plum pink color and they fit way smaller and the material was heavier and more scratchy. I would have had to size up in the pink color but am returning regardless because the material is so uncomfortable. I don't know if it would soften after washing but I didn't want to take the chance.

Due to recent skin sensitivity, I've been transitioning my wardrobe to 100% cotton pieces. I truly love these sweatpants—especially when paired with the coordinating sweater—but the waistband sizing is unfortunately inconsistent. The Terra Brown and Brown Wash fit like a true size large, while the Navy Blue Wash waistband runs much smaller (closer to an XS/S), and the Blue Ridge runs significantly larger (more like an XL/XXL).
