This coat is awesome. We purchased for our teen son- as he was quickly outgrowing his previous coat. He absolutely loves this coat. We can't get him out of it. He thinks it's "cool" but we love that it keeps him warm. While yes it is heavyweight in terms of the quality of fabric used, it's not heavy to wear. The hood is spacious and covers his head completely. We bought the navy color for him as we needed to break him out of black everything. It's a very deep and rich color with a very slight sheen. I'm (mom) even eyeing the chocolate brown color for myself. This was a 10/10 purchase!
