Good turtleneck for layering, very thin and small

I ordered my regular Gap size, XS Petite, and let me tell you, this turtleneck is indeed extra small. It is skin-tight and almost too short to tuck into my jeans. I do like the feel of it and it will work for layering, but it does feel quite insubstantial and small. I would not buy another.

I buy turtlenecks as a base layer every winter and this one ticks all the boxes for composition and fit. I bought two, size Medium in Tall, The length of the body and sleeves is perfect for a tall person. I don't love the seam down the back but it isn't really scratchy so I can live with it.
