I almost didn't buy this skirt because after quite a while on the website, it only had one review with one star. It's lovely... really lovely and feminine. The fabric is somewhat thin compared to last year's satin skirts, but it flows better and is much more flattering. The slit is pretty high. I'm 5'7" with a 26" waist and 39" hips at the widest point (hourglass). I bought the xs, and it fits perfectly. The slit comes to mid-thigh. I will secure a bit of that opening together when I wear it to Church, but otherwise it doesn't come off as immodest... hits just below my 6" bikers. If you are shorter than I am, or if you stay true to size instead of sizing down like I did, that will help a bit with the slit height. The length hits me just below mid calf... super flattering even though I have very athletic calves. Don't listen to that other review except to maybe adjust how you would launder. This should be handled like you would handle any nice dress. Make good choices when laundering and when choosing undergarments. Shapewear helps a lot with drape and for shooting when wearing this kind of fabric. For reference, I tried it on with the Old Navy Powersoft Bikers, and it looked great, so no need to spend a fortune on undergarments. The price right now is incredible.
