I love a boot cut and have a short torso so I find a low or mid rise much more flattering and more comfortable than high rise. I'm also thick waisted and high rise is always so tight and uncomfortable so I was thrilled to find these Long & Lean cords which I used to wear the first time around. These... are not as stretchy as they used to be and would benefit from more stretch to help keep their shape and make the waistband a little more comfortable. They're not really low-rise, they're more of a mid-rise or a touch lower so kind of a mid-low combination. I had to size up from my usual 6 or 8 to a 10 (30). Also, why why why aren't they doing beige pockets in the ivory version? No one wants 2 big visible pocket squares on their thighs. I sew so I removed the pockets and now they're great! The length is maybe a touch short. I'm almost 5' 6" and went with the tall so I could wear a low heel and they're perfect
I love all the Long & Lean pants... they are true low rise and come in petite, which are both things I cherish! I was so excited to find cords in this style as I own a bunch of the jeans and love them. These had the same fit (hooray!) but the quality of the fabric was so poor. Honestly, I'm still no...t sure if I got a defective pair? They are light brown, yes... but VERY patchy — almost like they are stonewashed, which is not a good look. Either that or that the pants have been worn 800 times (without the softness, mind you) and parts of the corduroy has worn thin to the base of the fabric. Boo! I may reorder if I see anyone else describing the rich brown color in the reviews, but as of now, I am returning this pair. They actually looks spotted!

Wonderful pants. I love corduroy and how soft it feels. These pants are sized larger than others I have bought from Gap. Normally, a 26 works well for me but the 27 I originally tried was so large I sized down to 25 and found it was comfortable.

I purchased these pants in a 6 after my size 8 were a little too big for me. I am a short curvy woman and these pants are figure flattering. The fit is snug on the thigh and perfect on the hips. The leg offers a higher hem and slight flair to the bottom giving the appearance of a longer leg line. You are able to move freely in them, they are not stiff. The corduroy is lighter weight which makes it perfect for all seasons. I am really enjoying these pants.

I originally bought this pair of pants in a size 8. I have been losing weight and now am in a size 6. I enjoyed the fit of these pants so much, I bought the exact pants and the white pair both in size 6. They are very figure flattering and I am a curvy woman. The fit is not too tight on the thighs and perfect on your hips. The wide hem and slight flair at the bottom coupled with the snug fit on the thighs give you a longer look. The corduroy is not heavy and can be worn comfortably all seasons.
