The fact that this hoodie doesn't have any reviews yet is criminal. I've been in search for some good zip-up hoodies for a couple of years now. Gap's Extra Heavyweight French Terry Hoodie is hands down the absolute best one so far. The material is very, very heavy as the name suggests, even heavi...er and sturdier feeling than a certain popular reverse-weave hoodie, while being much more premium feeling. The construction of the hoodie gives structure to the silhouette and flows nicely. The terry inner fabric feels tightly woven but soft like an expensive Turkish towel, and the cotton outer layer feels bulletproof. The fit is generous, slightly oversized and cropped giving it a comfy, classic look for my short, stocky build. I got both size medium and large to share with my significant other who is taller and slimmer than I am. If you're on the fence go with your normal size but definitely don't size up. Size large is more laid back looking on me while not being super long, and size medium looks more fitted and cropped. There's probably about 2 inches of back length difference between each sizes. Overall, this is Gap's best hoodie as of yet. Or the best kept secret at Gap. I got these for less than $50 per hoodie on sale, and it's absolutely the best bargain for clothes I had all year. If you want a slightly lighter but heavyweight hoodie for layering, the regular heavyweight hoodies from Gap are also very good although definitely not as substantial like this one.
