purchased this jacket for my eight-year-old son to wear during the winter months. All his previous winter jackets have been from Gap, and they've always been warm and well-insulated. Unfortunately, this year's jacket is highly disappointing. It feels very light, with minimal padding, and does not seem suitable for winter weather. It might work for fall, but certainly not at this price point. I'll be returning it for a refund.

The kiddo needed a nice jacket for the East Coast fall. He picked out this one and I am pleasantly surprised with how light it is. h He says it's comfortable and able to move around and play. I hope it lasts a good while.

I've purchased the Gap kids puffer every year for years, and this year's puffer is a big disappointment. It is so much THINNER... far less filler which makes me think it will not keep my son warm for most of winter. This is a warmer JACKET for maybe up to -5C. Just like in the description... it is a jacket, not a puffer coat for winter. I made the mistake of thinking that this puffer would be like or similar to previous years GAP has made a kids puffer coat. However kept the jacket since it was purchased on sale, and there is tons of room for an additional fleece jacket to be worn underneath for more warmth. True to size in terms of jacket length and sleeve length, but the body of the jacket has too much room. Even with a hoodie underneath, could fit a few more kids within the body of the jacket! 3 stars for exterior being fairly well made, and happy it is a non-feather filler jacket. Even at sale price, this was barely worth the cost.
