Quality knit sweater. True oversized boxy fit. Not as soft as I was expecting but it's thick so that just means it's more durable. Doesn't look like it will pill easily. I was thinking that this sweater could be worn oversized to leave room for my daughter to grow into it more next season (and may...be even last us a few seasons since it's not often cold where we live). This approach failed with this being such a bulky sweater with extra long sleeves as it is. (My 5.5 year old wears a small typically, sometimes an XS. The medium was overwhelmingly big on her.) I might even size down to an XS but I worry that would leave us with a sweater that only fits for one season.
I wish we could move on from the ill-fitting, cropped style. It is difficult to find winter clothing for my small children because everything is so cropped that it hardly covers their bodies. Can we please have some styles that hit below the hips so that children stay warm in winter, and look decent... in warm weather, too? Why would anyone want to dress their daughter like Jodie Foster a la Taxi Driver? We just can't shop at Gap, Old Navy or Athleta anymore because they don't sell clothes for little girls' bodies.
