I was hesitant to order this dress because of the mixed reviews. For reference, I'm 5'2" and 175 lbs. I knew I'd need to size up due to the fabric, so I ordered both a Large and an X-Large. The XL ended up fitting best, while the Large felt too snug for my liking. I'm currently in between sizes and,... with Gap, I usually wear a Medium or Large/Petite Large. I decided to keep the XL because of the comfortable fit. The regular XL length hits just above my knee, which I like — I'm glad I didn't go with the petite size, as it probably would've been too short. One thing I really appreciate is that the side hems stay in place. I've had similar dresses before where the fabric wouldn't stay put, but this one does. The dress itself is beautiful. I love the feel of the fabric, and the V-neck lace trim is my favorite detail. I was worried that sizing up would make the neckline too low, but it's actually perfect. A must have!

Unfortunately, I washed the dress before wearing it (following the instructions to wash on gentle cycle), and the lace on the neckline started shredding. I'm disappointed that there's already a ho...le in the lace before I had a chance to wear the dress.

The dress is very pretty and fits really well. It shapes the body nicely and has a retro vibe. The only downside is that the fabric wrinkles very easily.

This dress is a gorgeous wine color and a flattering fit. The medium fit perfectly (5'4", 160 lb, 36B). Unfortunately, I washed the dress before wearing it (following the instructions to wash on gentle cycle), and the lace on the neckline started shredding. I'm disappointed that there's already a hole in the lace before I had a chance to wear the dress.

The style and color is lovely but the fabric is thin/see through and is very wrinkle prone. I would keep the dress for maybe 1/4 of the price. The quality just doesn't match up to the price.

This dress is elegant and very flattering. Love the red color but it's definitely more of a burgundy. For reference I'm 5'11, 160lbs, athletic build. I wish they had a tall M in stock when I ordered this on sale but I had to go with the L regular. It's a little loose in the middle but I have broader shoulders so I'm not sure which would've been best. It doesn't look terrible—but I just would've been interested to see. The regular for my height is actually not bad. But again, probably a Tall would've been better. Actually want to get it in black because it's so nice. It's thin though. Very thin…think silk. With some stockings and flats or tall boots and jacket…really happy with the purchase. Just not sure I'd get it full price. But I do love it.

There is a comment on here what suggested to size up for a 5'2" 175lb and I wish I'd seen that before purchasing. I purchased a L in petite and did not like the fit of the dress especially at my bust. The buttons were about to pop off. For reference I'm a 38 DD.
