The image is clearly a washed black and looks grey. Literally use your eyes, no way you thought you were going to get something darker than the IMAGE ALREADY SHOWS YOU LOL
Very amazing jacket, received in the mail it is exactly oversized and nice. One thing though it does look very lived in, like jacket is made to look old quick from what I seen but also the ribbing is already like loose or scruffy since out so if you're looking for a lived in rugged jacket this is it....

Honestly so much better than I thought it would be. I am obsessed with this jacket. It's heavy & keeps you warm but also you don't sweat in it. Very stylish & perfect color. If I wasn't on a budget I would buy this jacket in every color they offer & cross my fingers for GAP to add more colorways.

Fits a little large depending on how you want to layer; get your usual size if you want to stack up sweaters underneath, one size down if it's just over a shirt. The craftsmanship is excellent, a solid medium-heavy bomber jacket in a purplish maroon shade. Looks almost like a lost piece of 1940s merchandise.

The photo on this page of the black version of this jacket looks gray except for the trim and collar. Completely incorrect. I saw it in a store and it's 100% solid black. No contrasting colors. And it looks like a standard jacket, not like a bomber. There's no question the jacket in the photo is a different item or a different color version of this item.

I ordered the "black" jacket with the assumption it would come as the faded grey shown on this listing. I'm annoyed to find it came as a true dark black that's very clearly a different color than the listing. The jacket is otherwise of good quality.
